A clear day on Malahide beach — blue sky, open sand, the hills in the distance. I was looking for solitude in the frame, for that particular kind of aloneness that isn’t loneliness. Then I saw her, walking slowly against all that space, lost in her own thoughts. I know that feeling well. The walk you take when you need to be with yourself. I raised the camera quietly and let her keep walking.
