Kerry Cliffs, Skellig Ring

Description

The Skellig Ring is not easy to reach, but it rewards every effort. It was a wild, windy day when I stood at the edge of these cliffs — the Atlantic was throwing itself against the ancient layered rock with a force that you feel in your chest before you hear it. The black and white came naturally. Colour would have been a distraction from what this place is really about — the raw geometry of the land, the relentless energy of the water, millions of years of stone meeting the sea. I stood there for a long time before I raised the camera.
